Towa means 'Beautiful' in Tumbuka. The language of Northern Malawi.
Featuring natural Clay and sterling silver posts, the Towa earrings stacking bars and strong arch combine to create a striking and bold look with a neutral toned stone in the centre. No two pieces are the same, slight variations add to its beauty.
The Clay stone begins as kiln-fired locally sourced clay found in Southern Malawi.
Each unique piece is sustainably made in a solar powered workshop and creates full time employment for the YEWO team in Malawi.
Each Jewellery piece comes with a hand sewn linen gift bag and polish pad.

Brass is a metal alloy comprised of copper and zinc. Known for its durability, brass has been used for centuries in Africa and is a sustainable alternative to gold. Today almost 90% of all brass in the world is recycled.
It is the nature of brass to evolve and tarnish over time. Some love this antiqued look and some prefer to keep their jewellery bright and shiny.
Humidity, products on your skin and your bodies natural chemistry are some of the things that speed up the process. To avoid oxidation, remove Jewellery before showering, working out or using sprays of any kind.
To store your jewellery we recommend storing in a sealed bag in a dry area away from sunlight and heat.
Our pieces come with a polish pad.
